The Bureau of Light Compliance exists to formally measure what every surface has always done without supervision: cast a shadow. We now track yours continuously, to the millimeter, and certify it on request.
Shadow Density is derived from proprietary photon-occlusion estimates, ambient screen luminance, and a small amount of professional judgment. The reading updates automatically and has never required your permission to do so.
A Silhouette Length reading, once taken, is considered final from the moment of observation, regardless of whether the shadow has since moved, lengthened, shortened, or been forgotten about entirely. The Bureau does not retract certificates.
You may request as many certificates as you wish. Each is numbered sequentially and considered equally official. The Bureau keeps no record of previous shadows and holds no opinion on which one was better.
